The medical term for Bacne is Acne Vulgaris of the back. It is a medical condition that usually arises during puberty and is outgrown during the early twenties. The back is a prime spot for acne to appear due to its large amount of oil secretion. Bacne occurs when pores are clogged with skin cells and oil is unable to properly escape, thereby causing the inflammation we commonly refer to as acne. On occasion, sebaceous cysts called epidermoid cysts can form which can lead to acne related scarring. When this begins to transpire, a doctor should be consulted immediately.
