Acne Products

There are a variety of products that you can purchase for the treatment of your bacne. Some are over the counter products, others require a prescription from your doctor. Whatever acne product you choose for the treatment of your bacne has to be the right one for you.

Finding the right acne treatments products can be a daunting task. While there are many quality products, others are little more than junk and prey upon the emotions of people trying to cure their bacne. We could list products on this page, but there are so many available and tons of new products coming out all the time, that we don't feel we could do a good job. As such, we have created an acne product reviews forum where you can read about and discuss various products on the market. We try to do a good job moderating the forum, but as always, some people will try to sell you less than savory products. Before starting any acne treatment regimine, you should consult with your doctor.

There are three main categories of acne treatment products that are available. These are Over The Counter (OTC), prescription medication provided by your doctor, and alternative treatments. Which one is right for you is best determined by the severity of your bacne and your lifestyle views.

Prescription Drugs

Isotretinoin - This drug is given if you have severe cystic acne.

Oral Antibiotics - These include Erythromycin, Doxycycline and Tetracycline which are shown to be very effective for bacne.

Accutane - A extremely powerful drug that should only be taken as a last resort due to the tremendous amount of potential and serious side effects.

Over The Counter Bacne Treatments

The two main ingredients in OTC products are Salicylic acid which acts on the actual shedding of skin cells inside of your pores and Benzoyl peroxide which kills the bacteria that is often associated with bacne and helps remove excess oil buildup.
