Azelex Cream is a popular topical medication for treating mild-to-moderate inflammatory acne vulgaris, a common skin disorder found mostly in teenagers.

One of the popular misconceptions about acne is that it is a skin disorder that can affect only teenagers, while adults are hardly at risk. Nothing however, could be further from the truth – for acne can make an unwanted appearance even in adults at any stage of their life.

Azelaic Acid (Azelex 20%):It is nothing but saturated carboxylic acid in its natural form. It has been found effective in eliminating acne-causing bacteria and is used to treat mild-to-moderate inflammatory acne vulgaris. It is meant for dermatolgic use only – it should be applied to the skin twice daily, or as instructed directed by your doctor.

I had acne at the end of high school and all through college. When I got to med school I finally bit the bullet and went on Accutane. One of the best decisions I've ever made. Yes, I had some dry lips, and yes, I had to go in once a month to get my LFTs done, but it's really fantastic to not have acne any more.

I wouldn't worry about the depression thing. If you know the history behind it, it has something to do with a senator's nephew killing himself while on the medication. I don't think any actual DBL studies have shown depression to be an issue, and the derm professors we had lecturing us said the same. I'd highly highly recommend it.

So I'm 19, male and I've had pretty bad acne for the past few years; it's not as bad as it used to be, but still very unattractive. I was on Tetracycline for a while and that didn't do much, so I'm thinking of just biting the bullet and going for the Isotretinoin. Preferably oral, creams are too messy and take too long to apply.

But I'm worried about the side effects, especially the ones that can continue past treatment - depression most of all. If anyone knowledgeable about Accutane could tell me which side effects I should expect and which ones are rare, and how rare exactly, it'd be much appreciated.

Hey everyone!

I know how difficult it can be to find a perfect skincare solution, especially when you have acne. Put ethnic or multi-hued tones in the mix, and it is even trickier. I’m here to spread the word about an amazing beauty line called Specific Beauty. It is a dermatologist tested treatment line for multi-hued skin tones. The skincare products address uneven skin tone specifically, so after using it, you have awesome skin texture, and your face looks bright and lively! Not to mention it reduces blemishes and blotches. They’re only selling online right now, but you can find out more, or order at specificbeauty.com

Hi everyone! Im not sure "General Acne Discussion" is the right place for this question but moderators can move it :) (sorry)
I recently landed on page with ads of nu skin products and I can sure say it looks to good to be true... The ads claimed that the galvanic spa device can get you rid of acne and basically all skin problems plus removes wrinkles! Im a little bit sceptical and I dont want to throw $450 so I would really appreciate some reviews... does it really work?! and if yes how exactly? people trying to sell it please dont reply.
