I hear that this can help out with acne.
I haven't tried it yet but soon will as the soap isn't that expensive. For those of you that never heard of this soap it's used for general skincare such as to treat dry skin and so on. However, keep in mind that the smell may be a bit strong, but it should be manageable. This is probably a more convenient alternative to other products as well as soap can be applied more easily therefore it's less of a hassle. And when you compare the price tag of the soap to other products it's a bit more affordable. |

Have you heard of anyone using this soap to treat acne or blackheads and if so did it work for them?
I guess if people haven't found something that works on their acne, trying something new is the only alternative. It's that trial and error that eventually people find something that works. Usually it's word of mouth that gets people to try new acne treatments. If someone hears it worked on someone else's acne, they are more willing to try it. If it does smell, that might be a problem for a lot of people. If you have to walk around with a strong smell, then you have a new problem to deal with.

I've heard of this stuff before, I think when I was a little kid I saw this in a store or someone in my family must have talked about it back then. Pine tar is some smelly stuff. I know it really helps with psoriasis, but I didn't know about acne. I always used to borrow my mom's shampoo, but never my dad's... he never had to worry about me using up all his shampoo... that pine tar stuff smells bad... but I bet it works!
I don't think the shampoo makes your hair smell, just the product itself smells bad. |

If you have sensitive skin, don't use it. I bought a bar of that soap for the detox benefits - but pine tar is a commonly known skin irritant, and its main use is to seal and waterproof boat decks. I broke out worse and suffered a rash when I used it. Maybe it's just me though.

Where can you purchase Grandpa's Pine Tar Soap. Is it commonly available in stores?
